Lesley Dalzell, MSW, RSW | Registered Social Worker | Psychotherapist 

Lesley’ interest in mental health evolved from working as a Massage Therapist 20 years ago when she became curious about the different ways that people heal. This awareness sparked her interest to study psychology and neuroscience, and eventually clinical social work. She holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Psychology, a Masters in Social Work, and has two publications in the area of neuroscience.

Lesley values all of her experience which includes working in residential treatment centers, with local family health teams, and at a lead community mental health agency. Lesley has over 10 years of experience working as a Social Worker, Psychotherapist. Lesley’s experience has been predominantly with individuals, youth, couples, and families. Her areas of special interest include, but are not limited to, attachment theory, developmental theory, motivation and emotion, trauma, and brain science. She is also passionate about working with prenatal and postpartum clients. She uses a mix of therapeutic approaches with clients which include mindfulness, CBT, DBT principles, and EMDR. Lesley has completed additional training in single-session therapy, solution-focused therapy, adult attachment, and CBT, and EMDR.

Lesley’s therapeutic approach is client-centred, strength-based and collaborative. She aims to create a space that is warm and views her clients as the expert of their own life. Lesley is excited about the possibilities for health and healing that exist in all of us and looks forward to helping you on your journey toward wholeness.

Lesley is a registered in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

She is currently welcoming new clients for individual and couples therapy.
