Greer Slyfield Cook, MSW, RSW | Registered Social Worker | Psychotherapist
I am a registered social worker psychotherapist who has provided individual therapy to adults and couples in mental health for twenty years. My psychotherapy style is warm and compassionate, non-judgemental, and I approach my practice from a relational, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed perspective.

I have expertise in the areas of mood, anxiety, perinatal mental health (i.e. pregnancy and postpartum), transition to parenthood, grief and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and stress. I am trained in and draw from various modalities including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), InterPersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness.

My therapeutic process is client-centered. Therapy moves at your comfort and pace and prioritizes what is important to you. You are the expert of yourself and your life. In our work together therapy can be a space for you to build further awareness and a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours; to gain insight into the impact and effects of significant life events (either current or past); develop coping skills to better manage your mental health as well as any challenges you're facing in life.

I offer Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening appointments and I am currently welcoming new clients.
